Cool Things about New York
New York is one of the most known Cities all over the globe
and with a population of 20.1 million its also the biggest city in the states.
The city is right at the Southern tip of the states and is at the center of the
metropolitan area, in addition to that city, carries five boroughs–Brooklyn,
Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island-and these boroughs were
actually five different cities until they were merged into a single city in
1989. Situated on the biggest natural harbor, the beautiful city comprises of, classical
landmarks, landscapes, and skyscrapers that pierce through clouds. Whether
you're looking for a vacation or permanent residency, you've come to the right
place.
Boroughs:
As discussed above the five boroughs have hundreds of neighborhoods having a definite history
.
Manhattan, although being the smallest borough geographically, it’s very densely populated and is also is known for owning the world’s outstanding culture, the financial center of New York and many business headquarters
Brooklyn happens to be the most populous borough of NYC, also known as Kings County. Famous for Coney Island, Luna Park and it’s beach and boardwalk.
Queens, the largest borough of NYC geographically, and it happens to be very simple unlike other boroughs. It’s a peaceful place to live. A place to settle down after retirement.
The Bronx, the northernmost borough, and much of it is a part of the mainland United States. It happens to be the birthplace of rap and hip-hop culture. The largest park in NYC is also the big attraction of this borough.
Staten Island, the most residential area among the five boroughs, it’s connected to Manhattan by way of the very famous Ferry which is a free transportation that comes with the beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.
Economy:
Acknowledged as one of the world’s largest business centers, NY is America’s major economic engine making its unemployment rate fell low to 4.0% in 2018. An interesting fact about New York is that its economy is almost the same as that of Canada’s and supposedly if NYC was a country it’d have the 11th biggest economy all over the world. Despite all these high and mighty economic records, people living here have to pay 80% more than the rest of the country. But again, the job growth rate of the city is rising and it's right above the National Average by 0.5%.
Life in Big Apple City:
There’s no doubt that New York City is expensive and people living there are constantly tempted to spend money but still it also gives you all the luxuries that you look for. If I’d have to describe the life that the big apple city offers then I’d say it’s somewhat about Hard-work, diversity, safety, entertainment, culture, food, and parks. If you’re someone who loves to work then its no problem living here because the city is packed with some intense work atmosphere. NYC is the home of some of the very famous artists, musicians, and actors so it comes handy to a person who is an artist.
Tourism:
In addition to being the world’s famous epicenter of business, the big apple city is one of the world’s major attraction for the tourists as well. I must say that you should visit whether for a day or an extended trip and the fun fact is choosing what to see will be the toughest decision you will ever have to make as there are endless possibilities. People often think that New York is all about Manhattan and miss out on all the sights the other boroughs offers. The New York Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo in the Bronx, Queens is packed with some delicious cuisines, and keep in mind to take a ride on Staten Island Ferry. Following is a list of some of the major attractions of the Big Apple City that makes it a must place to visit.
