Things to do in Amsterdam - I

Amsterdam
The capital of the Netherlands and the most populous city of the country, also known as Venice of the North due to the large number of canals that are there. Originated as one of the small fishing village in the late 12th century is now one of the most important ports in the world making it the major epicenter of business and trade. Amsterdam is considered to be the Alpha-world City considering it is one of the most valuable financial centers in Europe. That's enough about the city's introduction. Let's get to the good stuff about it.
Well considering the pandemic nowadays, I will try my level best to bring Amsterdam to you and make you feel like actually living it.

Things to do in Amsterdam:

There are many places in the city that are enriched in historical stories with a pleasant ambiance. You will have a tough time deciding what to see and what to visit. Let's go through some of the stunning places of the city.

Attractions:

Along with being the big epicenter of the business, Amsterdam happens to have the astonishing tourist attractions as well. The following list will make you want to add the city to your list.

These museums are known to have more culture than any other whole city out there. Located at one of the wealthy districts of the city, known for its luxury and beautiful also the favorite part at Vondelpark. Your main focus should be this whole green square and its astonishing groups of museums that includes the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum and the Stedelijk Museum. Don't forget about the Concertgebouw, considered to be one of the finest places to enjoy a good classical concert.

Rijksmuseum Amsterdam: This museum is known to have 800 years of Dutch history, giving us an exceptional display of Dutch art and historical artifacts. There are more than 8000 pieces of artifacts on the show at a time, but the group of Dutch Golden Age paintings gets most of the attention of the people. There's a lot more adventure to go through Dutch culture and design by means of sculpture, textiles, armor, and astonishing 17th-century dollhouse. This Museum is busy almost every day so better keep in mind to book it early.

Rijkmuseum

Van Gogh Museum: Named after one of the world's famous post-impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh. This museum has the biggest collection of his work that includes almost 200 paintings, more than 500 drawings, and about 750 letters. The work of Van Gogh is displayed in a sequential way representing five different time periods. Nuenen/Antwerp (1880-86), Paris (1886-88), Arles (1888-1889), Saint-Rémy (1889-90) and Auvers-Sur-Oise (1890). There are more than 2.1 million visitors per year at this museum making it the most popular museum in the Netherlands.

Van Gogh Museum

Stedelijk Museum: This museum is third and the last of the trio. This too is devoted to the art of Vincent Van Gogh. But it also represents all the major movements that involve the Netherlands such as CoBrA, De Stijl, Neo-Impressionism, Bauhaus, and Pop art. Best place for Art geeks to quench the thirst of their eyes through painting, installation art, posters, graphics, and much more.

Stedelijk Museum

Vondelpark Amsterdam: The very peaceful and calm ponds, the rippled waves of lawn and very green trees. Located at the west from Museumplein. Fun fact about this park is that it needs to be renovated every generation. Because it was made in 1865 and is continuously sinking to the ground. During summer this park is known to have free concerts, live music, musical theater, and cabaret. Even though all of these activities are free to attend but I would still book it up early considering the facts. This park has more than 70 types of eye-catching beautiful flowers that grow right in the center at the rose garden of the park. You will enjoy your time here and it has all the things a person needs when he considers having a trip here.

Vondel Park

That covers up the Museumplein part of Amsterdam. There are many more things that you'll find enjoyable here in Amsterdam. So be sure to visit my blog in the near future to enjoy reading about those.
