JavaScript to TypeScript: A Beginner-Friendly Guide

Image
JavaScript is a versatile and widely used programming language for web development. However, as your projects become more complex, you may encounter issues with maintaining code and catching errors early in the development process. This is where TypeScript comes in. TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript that adds static typing and other powerful features to help you write safer and more maintainable code. In this beginner-friendly guide, we'll explore the transition from JavaScript to TypeScript. Why TypeScript? Static Typing: TypeScript allows you to specify the types of your variables, function parameters, and return values, which helps catch type-related errors at compile-time rather than runtime. Enhanced Tooling:  TypeScript offers better code editor support with autocompletion, type checking, and improved documentation generation. Improved Collaboration:  With clearly defined types, collaborating with other developers becomes easier as code becomes self-documenting. G...

Does your laptop really need a screen protector?

Image
When people buy new gadgets , they tend to cover them with all the protection. For instance, when you buy a phone, you attach the screen protector with it along with the back cover. Because that is a necessity for your phone. But, when it comes to your laptop, you don't really need one. The way that your laptop is designed becomes the major factor here.  Design of the Laptop: Laptop design involves closing and opening the lid of the screen. If you put a screen protector on it thinking that it is actually protecting my laptop screen from scratches , dust etc.. You are only damaging the screen more instead of protecting it. When the lid of the laptop is closed, there's a gap between the screen glass and the keyboard. That gap is really necessary for your screen. It protects it from the permanent scratches that it can have on the laptop if there's no gap. So, by adding the screen protector , you're actually taking away that gap. The screen will be pressed against the k...

Overthinking and How to Overcome it.

Image
When instead of being practical and doing things you just think too much, you’re overthinking . When you repeatedly analyze the same thoughts over and over instead of acting on it, you’re overthinking. This habit puts a stop at taking action, devour your energy, defuse your ability to make decisions, and puts you in a miserable condition. This type of thinking wastes your time and stops you from making progress in your life. This puts you at a better chance of having anxiety and losing your inner peace. Your mind keeps thinking about an event, a person, or a problem that happened in the past. Instead of taking initiative, you just think about it and cannot get it out of your mind. There are times when something bad happens and you only think about the worst situations, with the thoughts of “What if?” or “why?”. Every now and then you’re slipping into negative thoughts.
