Realizing Until It’s Too Late
Every single one of us has to go through this phase at some
point in our lives, some of us so-called lucky to have it early when you still
have people who look after you, and then some just have to deal with it on
their own and trust me it’s better to have it this way because it opens up your
mind to a whole new level to understand the situations and it’s not the same
when there are people to teach you. It usually happens when you have to move
away from your family and start living on your own. Your mind is not ready to
face such responsibilities at first but you'll come around eventually.
Realizing that you've been doing it all wrong thinking it was right will happen
to you many times until you’re mature enough to understand it.
You must have been through some severe event to find
yourself here and you wouldn’t want this to happen again, but there is no
guarantee of that, so all we can do is try our best to learn from it. It could
be trusting your “so-called friend” you know you that you shouldn’t have, or
you could have gotten hurt by someone knowing that it was bound to happen, but
you decided to stay close. Worst of all, you could have hurt someone for your
own temporary pleasure. There are hundreds of other possibilities. Even though
it hurts a lot but this is how we enter a new phase, so you don’t necessarily
need to run from it. This does not
happen all of a sudden, and you know it, but not realizing it sooner is not
your fault for the first time because as I mentioned everyone has to go through
it and the reason for that is being unaware which is completely natural. You’re
lucky if your mistake doesn’t involve any other person but if it does, believe
me coming back from that is not too easy, you should always try your best to be
apologetic and try to help people that you hurt in any way you can and hope for
the best.
As I said earlier that it does not happen all of a sudden,
so when you’re doing something that you think is right, having no idea what it
may lead to soon, try looking out for checkpoints that will be
there telling you where you are heading and what would be the actual outcome.
Don’t let the temporary pleasure overcome you and make you blind to understand
the consequences that you’ll have to face eventually. Always have an open mind
to your surroundings, try to see the actual picture of the story. At first,
it’s not going to be easy, but you have to stay put. Think of the feeling of
satisfaction at the end of something done right. The feeling of joy and delight
that you have after stopping yourself from something horrible, which seems okay
at the time is just something that you’ll choose over anything once you
understand it.

ReplyDeleteHaider, Umer sent me here.
ReplyDeleteI like this piece but it can be improved.
To critique this piece, I'd add that it has quite the buzzfeed air to it. You're writing like a blog that vaters to public with less personal touches. Try and personalize the experience. Your writing style doesn't become all pronounced on my mind. It needs to come through.
Understood. Thanks so much for the advice. I'll work on it.
